starv3-1.4.18r-3105 released

There is a new release available, and can be downloaded from the files.star-os.com website.

Please be cautious when upgrading critical, or hard to reach systems.

There are still a few small isolated problems some are having, however this release should be suitable for most new installs.

NOTE: do not generate x86 licenses for this release, as it will be invalid. This has been resolved in the 1.4.19r that will be released soon.

1.4.18r updates:
*) atheros increased performance, and compatibility
*) bgp 32-bit AS number issue has been resolved
*) bridged interfaces with vlans, now have the vlan attached to the bridge, and not the slave
*) support for dummy interface has been added
*) loopback interface can now be manipulated
*) traceroute now works properly from the command shell

So far it's seems very good to me on a very small test mini-pop.

I have an X4000 mini-pop (all StarOS devices) with 2 cards as APs and clients are War1s.

1 - 5.8 gig, X2 AP
1 - 2.4 gig, X2 AP

I have 2 clients to each AP.
Everything is running 1.4.18r

All devices have been up over 15 hours now with no sign of problems.
There have been no disassociation problems and I have clients with ping watchdog of 5 minutes.

And the reverse rate problem, is it fix ?

We'll have to get some reports before we know. Maybe, if your location had the issue you could try one or two and report back.

OK, If I'm getting proper feedback from my Rx/Tx thread the rates would still be reversed.

As the signal at the CPE gets better the rate in the GUI at the cpe goes up.
The Rx rate at the AP goes up to match but the Tx rate at the AP stays the same.

Did you do both AP and Client? How about some screen shots?
