    Default FIOS terminating agent agreements

    FWIW:
Just got a letter that agent agreements for FIOS service are being canceled.
Ours in the North East will be done in March of 2011.
The reason they are giving is that the profit margin is to small and it is unsustainable.

Not that it makes it any better for you.. But I think DSLreports had a story on that some time ago. Go figure the telco's don't want to share.
    Yea I know,..those things happen.

If I remember correctly, European (France?) telcos webed each there own fiber network (cross country only for their networks) some 5-10 years ago, and ended up giving away full PC for 2 years contract just to attract customers. Fair number of them went under since prices just kept going down. Capitalism at it's worst, I guess, there is always someone that will go lower just to keep afloat.

But of course if you sent them a letter saying you are terminating your contract early because your paying too much now they would be all over you for fees and early termination jargon..
