I have tried to upgrade a 1.6.1 to rc 2675 & 2698 both times it failed saying corrupt firmware. Downloaded all the .bin's twice, same size's adn error. Then tried a fresh install of 2698, on boot of the hd it goes 01 01 01 ad infinitum. I have dl'd the iso's twice, what are the correct byte size's of the iso's??

I have:
2648 12,025,856
2675 12,058,624
2698 11,960,320
2702 11,960,320

Is it possible it just doesnt like my hardware for some reasion?

The ISOs you listed are the correct size. Are you having problems booting the CD, or the drive after an install?

If you are having boot problems, please make sure you install the image with your HDD set to NORMAL, or LARGE, but not LBA.

What hardware are you using?

Thanks!

I got the update working. Had to start at 1.6.1 and do each progressive.
Should have tested to see if after flashing 1.6.1/2 it woudl take .7rc2702

the hardware is a Premio Telesto 2 with a Celeron 300A and 32M ram
It install's fine(or looks to) but on hd boot it 01 01's
tried 2 hd's, both are 500meg drive's. (524 and 512, iirc)

Glad you got it working. The upgrade should have been Ok to go from your current, to the latest version in one jump. What translation settings are your drives set too? (LBA, NORMAL or LARGE ?)

Thanks!

Normal. There might be some boot loader left on the drive. I assume your install took care of that(and that i cleaned the drives correctly before stacking them away)
