Hi. I'd like to see some changes in the way certain info is displayed. In particular, the Site Survey is a great tool, but it would be much more useful if the info was displayed differently. Maybe something more like this..

Signal Frequency bssid ssis security
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-62dBm 2.412 GHz 00:18:3F:FD:91:B1 "2wire-119" wep
-71dBm 2.427 GHz 00:80:48:41:91:FD "Main-Test" off
-75dBm 2.447 GHz 00:1A:04:F8:91:FD "ABC" wepOr, if we need more details, something like this (Perhaps a 'details on/off' toggle)...

Signal Frequency bssid ssis security
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
-62dBm 2.412 GHz 00:18:3F:FD:91:B1 "2wire-119" wep
supported rates: 1, 2, 5.5, 11, 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 54 Mb/s

-71dBm 2.427 GHz 00:80:48:41:91:FD "Main-Test" off
supported rates: 1, 2, 5.5, 11, 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 54 Mb/s
extended abilities: QoS SuperAG

-75dBm 2.447 GHz 00:1A:04:F8:91:FD "ABC" wep
supported rates: 1, 2, 5.5, 11, 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 54 Mb/s
Also the ability to sort by signal strength or frequency (or even bssid or Security) would be VERY important. When a customer CPE can see 25 Cells in it's site survey, it would be great to be able to sort out the strong signals (I care more about the -62's than I do about the -92's) and it would be good to sort stuff close to our intended channels. I know cosmetic changes have low priority, but this is a usefulness change. :) Thank you for your consideration.

I would like to see Qty added too, only today I could see 2 AP's, one was at -78 and one at -66. I connected to the -66 one and only got a Qty of 40%, changed to the -78 one and got Qty of 95/100%. Sometimes I change the client to another AP with a better signal and find it will not connect and I have to go and drive to the client and change it back again (I know I should use ping watchdog, but forget)...

I like the layout you suggest above and I know that the boys are very busy but if the Site Survey can be updated it gets my vote.

Hi. I'm not sure if a Q% would be possible in a site survey, because I think it has to pass data to and from that connection to know how many packets can get through. A site survey is based just on beacons, I think. However, the point is still the same - if the information can be organized and compacted to a more useful form, that would really help in the field. Right now, the site survey gives ton's of information, but I'm far more interesed in certain info (and in sorting by that info) than I am in nessesarily knowing all the supported speeds and extended attributes.

That is correct. Quality (Q%) can only be calculated once the link is established with a peer, and traffic is flowing.
