Where is the switch for enabeling the managed function on the client side.?

Is it automatically enabeled with a FW version (Now 1.3.0) and indicated by the flags returned by the association display.?

I find no mention anywhere except that some are using it and it works "peachy keen".

I like to check these things before I upset a freshly upgraded system. :)

Observation:
One weak signal hop that drops out is less stable in 4x mode than it is in 2X.
(The fix is in.We are just waiting for auth. to use a power pole that splits the path in half that will fix the problem.)

Client also must be 1.3.0 and it is automatical.

That is correct. Managed mode 'just works' with supported peers, and doesn't need to be enabled or have special setup.

You will notice the 'M' entry on the association list will be lit when the feature becomes available and is in use.

Kind of thought that is how it works but I could not find it stated anywhere.
You just have to be carefull not to "Saw a limb out from under yourself" when pushing the limits :o

Just be careful when you run a mixed network (some clients don't have the 'M' lit).

If you use the sync button to change the channel, the managed clients will follow right away, however non-managed clients will have to scan and re-associate.

If you change mode (X2, X4, X1, etc) the non managed clients will never synchronize. They must be changed manually before you make the AP change.

What settings can this update from the AP? I know that channel & cloaking mode change but anything else? Will it update the SuperA/G, Tx power or even SSID?

No, it is primarily intended to quickly change the channel in case an AP is flooded by interference.

We will be extending the functionality over time to do other things as well.
