I am mostly a Mikrotik user. Been having a LOT of trouble with SR9's
and Mikrotik, so I bought to WAR boards, and put 'em in PTP config.

I've gotten them to link up, as I can look at the AP and see the CPE end
associated.

file:///C:/Users/Rick/AppData/Local/Temp/moz-screenshot.jpgI CANNOT for the life of me figure out how to ping across the link. I see the 192.168.3.x address on each end, changed the CPE end to 192.168.3.2/24 just to see, and I can't ping either.

Anyone know both Mikrotik and StarOS that could clue me in here ? This has got to be something stupid...

BTW... this 900 mhz PTP link is 23 miles. 15dbi grid on one end, 13dbi yagi on the other.

You need to have the distance set to 25 miles for that shot.

OK thanks for that Lonnie - do I have to do it on BOTH ends ? I did it
on the AP end already, and I've gotten ONE ping through.

You need to have the distance set to 25 miles for that shot.

Yes, both ends have to be set.

Yes, both ends have to be set.

OK thanks for this - I set both ends to 25 miles, and now have a pretty stable link.

How do I setup dhcp on the client end so they can now get online ? How do I get traffic to route across ? I can't even (seem to) ping from one side to the other.

I have 192.168.3.1/24 on my side, 192.168.3.2/24 on the other... system console doesn't let me ping the other end, and I have a "stable" link at -81 signal.
