View Full Version : Splitting up the demand (How much can a war4 hold?)

I have a war4 as a main distribution point for one of my networks.

wpci1: backhauls to my internet connection for a load of about 100 clients
wpci2: Provides 30 cpe's direct access
wpci3: backhaul to repeater site #1 with about 30 cpe's
wpci4: backhaul to repeater site #2 with about 30 cpe's

ether2: jumped over to another war2
wpci1: backhaul to repeater site #3 with about 10 cpe's
wpci2: provides direct access to 10 cpe's

Should I try and even the load by adding another war4 and splitting up the work, or is 100 cpe's peanuts for this war4?

I am seeing quality issues at some backhauls and I am wondering if this may be a cause...

Suggestions? tks

I would think it is OK. Keep going until you see problems.

Reminds me of a cartoon where the kid asks his dad how they determine the weight restrictions of a bridge.

"Keep sending larger trucks over it until it collapses, then rebuild it"

Except "this" bridge does not collapse and allows you to build another bridge to take some load off the other bridge.
