I am sure everyone here who has worked with some of these antennas and U bolts at one point or another has found that its hard to FIND A FREAKING socket deep enough.

I haven't searched through every store shelf looking but nothing seems overkill. And you need something overkill to attach a Pac-Wireless grid to a 1 and 1/4 inch pole without using a wrench. It should be so big you can see it across the store.

So i was wondering if anyone has found the coveted super deep sockets in metric and standard. Seems like the smaller the size gets the less deep. This set i have is looks long but the metal comes up half way on the short ones almost.

Some nice real 2 inch or 3 would be nice. If anyone has some out of the norm other tools please post.

Thanks

They make ratcheted wrenches. You can just put the wrench around your bolt/nut and ratchet it into place. It's way fast.

Sears, I have a set 3" all the way from 3/8" to 11/16" and metric from 10mm to 17mm both are 3/8" drive.. but like TOG Mentioned the ratcheting ones are very nice to work with and the set I use are double sided so I have 7/16 and 3/8 on one and 1/2 and 9/16 on the other so those 2 will handle most jobs..

Think "Nut Drivers", specifically I bought my "Long Shanked" nut drivers from an electrical supply house.

Klien makes them, I'm sure you can find them online.

Ill take a look at ratcheted wrenches, probably work in most cases. But my first thought is the head size trying to get it in those tight places.

Deep sockets a little faster once you pop it on your drill.

So those two should have the bases covered.

I agree with gofast, the Klein nut drivers are very deep and work perfectly for what you want, we use them everyday. You can find those at Lowes, Home Depot and Electrical Supply Stores.
