I am trying to buy some v3 licences for some wrap boards but I am having problems.

I have installed V3 on a wrap successfully & it is in trial mode
I have gone to the licence key area of your website
I have selected the first package type
I have entered the mac address of the wrap - 00:0d:b9:04:ba:84

and I get the error message invalid request key.

On going into the wrap I see there is a mechanism to generate a large request key.

I have generated a large request key
I cut and pasted it from the machine I was using to configure the board on, to a machine that had internet access to your licencing site
I pasted the key into your purchasing form

and I still get the error message invalid request key

If it helps the key generated was :

You need the begin and end portions of the request key.

When entering the key, you do not need to enter a MAC address, only the request key.

This will do the trick for you.

-----BEGIN VNC REQUEST KEY-----

That is only part of the request key. You also require the complete BEGIN and END lines. The same goes for when you paste the license to the board.

I bought some Wrap boards from another vendor awhile ago. Now that I want to do the V3 Wrap ugrade it is not letting me do it because :
"Error: star-os key does not qualify for an upgrade"

What should I do?

Email me with the license key you tried to upgrade.

Oh yeah, See I'm buying wrap V3 licenses :)
All it takes is not to have any war boards and I have no other choice than to upgrade my wraps.
Although I was hoping to sell my wraps to someone else and just stick with wars, they are so much better.

"Error: star-os key does not qualify for an upgrade"The message is not too clear (will be reworded), however what it means is that the star-os key you have has already been used during a star-v3 upgrade.

Thanks!

Wonder how that can be?
Isn't each board a diferent key?

Each v3 is, however if you try and re-use a v2 key during the upgrade process, then it will give you this message.

PM me your v2 key and I'll take a preak and see where it's used.

Thanks Tony & Lonnie that worked

How does one generate a license request key for a WRAP.2C which has just been loaded with V3?

rgds/ldv

apologies, but I couldn't get Google or the forum search to provide the obvious answer.

One would login, just like you do with v2, with ssh at 192.168.1.1 admin 1234 and from system menu go to license and hit generate request key.
