So upon the praise of the latest FW I decided to upgrade one of our links that was giving us poor throughput (high signal).

So I get the firmware uploaded, ssh to the box and start the upgrade process. About 45% into the process the wireless link just so happens to die. We waited hoping it would actually finish and that perhaps the ping watchdog would reboot it. No luck. We ended up having to switch in a new board.

Hyper terminal shows it endlessly rebooting. Is there anything that can be done to reload the firmware to this board? or is it now dead?

Thanks,

- Darren

*EDIT* doh! I just saw this thread: http://forums.star-os.com/showthread.php?t=5465 so you can just ignore this

Did you lose power to the board? What version did you upgrade from?

Was upgrading from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1.

Power was not lost to the board. Just the wireless link to it which cut off my ssh connection. I would have thought the upgrade process would complete regardless and a simple reboot would bring it up.

If you lose your SSH connection during the update, the upgrade will continue. You should have been able to log back into your system again, and wait to reboot after the BUSY indicator went away, which would indicate the upgrade has finished.
