Sorry for the Newb question but... Is OLSR only supported on IXP420 systems as shown on this page http://www.staros.com/specs.php#cpe or can you run it on a Desktop system or mini-itx platform?

You are correct. OLRS is only available on the star-v3 WAR platform.

Any plans of making it availible for other platforms?

It will become available when we release star-v3 on other platforms, such as x86.
