Does anyone know if the Tranzeo TR-5a's will work with war and v3?

I think they are atheros are they not?

I can't say for sure I don't have any Tranzeo's, but typically the tranzeos I've had are generic 802.x.

cm9's are generic 802.abg as well.

They should just work.

But why bother with the tranzeos when you can just use rootennas and a war board?

War is better.

I would use the WAR that would be my first choice definitely but I would use something other that a rootenna for this link but I have had this client waiting for quite a while and untill the single radio dual wars are in stock I just dont have to many options and this client is getting impatient with me, I have used the TR-5a's 5.8ghz and they work great with a tranzeo ap but didn't know if they would work with wars I am trying hard to avoid a bunch of trial and error tests with different vendors I would prefer just to stick with wars. I just dont see the need to spend double the money for a quad war for client side?

I recently install war - beta 16 with cm9 as client. I have had random losses of association at a range of 2000ft ? SNR and quality jump all over. This is located in a remote location of interfence should not be a factor. I am going onsite tomm to replace cm9 and pigtail. Any other ideas?

Note: AP is a TR-5a's 5.8ghz

I am not familiar with the TR-5a systems, so cannot offer any advice on them, however in regards to the war client, there are a few things to try:

* Make sure distance is set correctly (also ensure this on the AP, if it's supported).
* Upgrade the system to the newest release (beta-18 as of now)

What kind of signal are you getting on the client? Double-checking the pigtail and card may be worth a shot.
