Thought I would add a few requests for V3 or V2, they are as follows:-

Somthing to stop all P2P users or QOS that is fully auto once you set things like Peak rate & commited rate. Have a few users tha are running 4GB a day downloading.

Some way to monitor the power on the WAR,s 15 of our wars are in remote locations with only a windmill to power them. If I had a way to monitor the power it would save me time a diesel. May be even a way that the WAR could send a message to our log server if power was below x volts.

I know your up to your T*T's right now with sorting out V3, but if you have nothing to do and are looking at ways to add to your software, the above would be nice.


Thanks, and well done on V3, working well on our backhaul. One thing I have found is I now have a better signal with V3, in general signal is about 3db better accross the board.

Anne, thanks for the WARv3 feedback. We have it on our backbone as well and it is what we were trying to achieve. We have had some RIP issues but they were self inflicted. Next week we move everything to MESH, so that should be fun. It was going to happen this week, but both Tony and I are gone for the weekend, so we decided to leave it alone, since it has been stable for almost 5 days since we did the last upgrade, at release 584, so we are quite a bit behind the times, but we don't need the new features, so it stays like it is until we have need to move ahead.
Monitoring voltage and temperature will be a nice addition and is in the works, and is a future feature on the website. We have Solar Power sites and it has always been a desire for monitoring. We are making sure this will be available.

As for the p2p users, that is something you'll have to work out at the POP location, using a large machine with fast CPU, lots of ram and hard drive storage. For any accounting you require historical data and the WAR has no place to keep that info. The solution is to get a bandwidth controller box that does the historical stuff and adjust everybody accordingly.

You can have the AP set a basic rate and then the bandwidth box adjusts it lower based on their activity.
