We're excited about the monitoring functions. When and where may we find out the details?

The simplest is to download the image and run the 24 hour demo. It will be quite apparent how and what it does when you run it.

The Wireless signal monitor is located in the wireless menu under each adapter.

Thanks!

Okay, I'm running the new stuff (strrs r3274), and found wireless monitor. I can't get back out of it without having to kill my ssh connection. The labeled function keys don't seem to do anything, and I can't click on anything (not exactly true... I can click, and sometimes they move, but nothing ever changes). Esc does nothing, ctl-C does nothing.

What SSH client are you using? You need to make sure it is x-term compatible. There is a free SSH client called PuTTY which is what we designed the system to use, and is located on our downloads page.

If you are using *nix (such as Linux, BSD, OSX, etc), run SSH from within an X-Windows terminal and you will have full mouse and keyboard access.

Thanks!

SSH? SecureCRT from VanDyke. It works on the main windows with the CPE version of your code, and on the main one with this SBC router version (first time I've tried it... moving over due to end-of-life announcement). I've had no trouble with mouse use on it.

We support SecureCRT to an extent, but it is not 100% compatible with the keyboard mappings. I would recommend playing with it's terminal settings to see if it has an xterm option, or try PuTTY.

Thanks!

PuTTY is the answer. I've heard you recommend it for months, but I believe this is the first time I've ever heard you say that you designed your user interface around PuTTY. I had thought you were just recommending a free client for folks that didn't want to spend money on a licensed one. I use SecureCRT in my daily work, and need its features, but I can sure use PuTTY with my star-os devices.

Thanks,

-Les (going off to play with the new stuff)
