Okay, I have been through the list and read on not using the 200mW cards, but I would like to use a 100mW card, so I can get a decent signal on top of the tower (long cable run). I don't like using amps, so what do people recommend for a 100mW PC card that has external antenna connector and that has excellent sensitivity and excellent receive sensitivity? Thanks for the good info.

Actually the 200mw senao card that is prism 2.5 should work great. In my tests, they had good receive sensitivity compared to other 200mw cards and roughly the same as lucent cards. Only downside is that it isn't lucent/agere/orinoco card, which has by far the best support in starOS.
I can't think of a good 100mw card that will work with starOS, all the lucent cards are 30mw... the only good 100mw cards I know of are cisco and they aren't supported.
