Hello!

I ask this question here because i'm not sure to understand everything.

Is or will the WAR board be compatible with all the features implemented in StarOS on WRAP?

Here is our config:
We have a 2 segments radio link dedicated to some telemetry equipments and a web camera. The first segment is 48km long, and the second 45km. Curently, we use three WRAP boards with resp. one two and one CM9 radios, setup to 802.11b with WPA-PSK/AES, each radio connected to a 24dBi grid antenna.
So far, the system works fine. The throughput test gives around 1300kB/s from the repeater (board 2) and 700kB/s from the end of the link (TX an RX).

We consider replacing the boards 1 and 2 with WAR's, because is seems that we could get a better throughput, and also because they support more radios, wich is interesting for some future extentions.
Note that the encryption is a real concern...

Any comments?
Fred

We are working towards having a complete feature set. The WAR boards have fine processing power and the software is starting to get the required features. For instance we will be installing our first general AP tomorrow. With DHCP about to be released we now have the tools that most people use. Of course we will continue to add authentication tools.

It sure simplifies the tower wiring and routing having a single box with 4 radios. How many of you guys just have one or two radios on a tower?
