We just bought 2 4 card WAR boards and 2 2 card WAR boards and are having a problem. I can ping 192.168.1.1 but when I try to ssh to that address I get: Connection Refused

This is on all 4 boards and from 2 different pc's

Did you change the ssh port on the WAR board or am I missing something?

I have looked at the forums but dont see anything this.

Thanks in advance,
Chris Williams

No, we changed the way you configure the system. You have to download the new apConfig which is a Windows based GUI. In that zip you will also find the very latest firmware and a new boot rom.

Please do not make any changes until you are certain you feel comfortable with the new system. If you mess up your password or IP it can be quite difficult to get back in, so please be very certain of what you type and don't forget what you typed in.

I would like you to update the firmware and reboot, then update the boot rom and reboot again.

At that point you will have the system ready to configure.

Thanks. I did what you said and everything seems fine. I guess I still had that wrap board mentality.

Do you plan on releasing a reference guide for the StarVX?

But that is what this Forum is for. Your problem has been asked several times and we hope that people will search the Forums when they have a question.

A Quick Start Guide would be a good thing. I think we'll have to do something.

I'm glad you got it figured out. The GUI should be pretty straightforward. How does it look now that you have used with it?

It is actually pretty slick. I like the interface much better than before. My plan is to test them by setting up a wireless connection between two of them on the ground tonight. We have a 5 mile LOS shot we need to establish with these.

The one thing that I did notice was that there didnt seem to be a way to scan for networks when not in AP mode. I havent actually tried it yet, but didnt see it when I was looking around.

Overall I am highly impressed by the product. We have very high hoped for them.

The site survey is an item that is on the list.

DHCP server is almost ready to release so that means it can soon begin as an AP and even at the client side.
