Would it be possible to make StarOS be able to apply changes to the ACL without resetting the cards? Often times, I have to make changes to the ACL during regular daytime hours, and it annoys the gamers and customers running VPNs when everything stops for a few seconds while the cards reset.
Craig
It is something we can add. I'll add a menu item under each card to re-apply it's ACL list.
Thanks!
ditto for routing changes :)

Tony,
Just wondering if this feature will be available shortly or if it'll be a while. I'm not trying to rush you or anything. If it's going to take some time to implement this, it's not a big deal. I'll just start trying to schedule my ACL changes for non-peak hours.
:)
Thanks!
Craig
I believe it is scheduled for inclusion in the next release or two.
Thanks!

I was thinking about upgrading, but before I do, I was wondering if this feature is in yet. Thanks!
Craig
I am hoping to have it in the next release.
Thanks!

Tony,
This feature will be released?
Thanks!
Very soon. I was hoping to get it out with the Radius authentication update, but it never made it before the weekend. I'm aiming for the next release for this.
Thanks!

Tony,
I'm guessing this has been implemented, but I can't seem to find any sort of "Apply ACL" item in the menus. I'm wondering... does it re-apply the ACL when you do an "Activate script changes"? Thanks!
Craig
Activate script changes only handles cbq, nat and firewall. It does not handle card-specific settings such as ACL.

So where do I make it re-apply the ACL without resetting the wireless cards? Is this capability not there yet?
Thanks!
Craig
It's a pending feature that is not complete yet. It will be introduced with the support for ACL in the Atheros driver.
Thanks!
Couldn't you achive the same effect with the radius-based ACL?
