I have 2 staros boxes running on WRAPS, but one end the sig in very low on the other side its very high, see below:-

Box 1 (AP mode)
Qual 9 - Signal -86
This signal on this box keeps changine from the min listed above to a max of Qual 37 Signal -58

Box 2 (Station mode)
Qual 43 - Signal -52 Noise -95
The above is about the best signal and it dips a little but not much below Qual 25.

My question is as both boxes are hard to get to, should I first try and replace the radio, pig tails or LMR on box 1 or box 2 first. At a guess, I would say as box 2 signal is more stable, the problem is with box 1.

Just thought that someone else has had the same kind of problem and might be able to save my a climb both towers.

Box 1 has no noise in the area and can't pickup any other 5.8 signals, box 2 has a tower very close and there are 4 channels in use but I am several channels away from them. I have run tests on all available channels and get the same kind of results.

Anyone here come accross this kind of problem, I would love to hear from you.

It's a hard call from here, but check your piggys first and then make sure you have good cable and connectors.

Aside from interference causing thefluctuation, from my experience and these lists, piggys and cabling is problematic.
