I am unable to "Save" after making a change to the default gateway. Is there something I'm missing here?

Default gateway requires a reboot. If you look at the first screen you'll see a save and reboot button has now shown up.

I tried that.. but if you change only the default gateway and nothing else, then the save and reboot option does not appear.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong..

I am seeing this too with the Dual-port WAR's running 1.0.5-pre1 (build 2101). Static routes don't seem to take either. I had to use RIP to get the routes in the table.

I can change one number in default route and the save and reboot option shows up. Do you click out of the field to cause a data save in the field?

Aha. Yep that seems to do it. I was making the change then clicking on another menu. When I clicked back the change was still there but a reboot later and it was gone.

Hello,

I have the same problem too. After change of default gateway or add static route, 'Save' button doesn't appear at first screen even if i clicked out of the fields for saving values.
After this i changed IP address on second ethernet (it works fine), assuming that button will be there. It was there indeed, so i clicked it. After rebooting of WAR, IP address has changed, but the default gateway and static routes were same as before. However i'm using apConfig v1.5. Any ideas?

I found that it works on some systems but not others. I.e my laptop (running WinXP) would not work no matter what but our management server (running Win 2000) and home pc (running WinXP) worked fine.

This is quite strange. We also use 1.5 apConfig but mine, with XP Pro, all service packs, etc works as expected. If I change one character in any field and if I then edit it back to the same value, the Save/Reboot button still appears.

Are you sure the data you entered was correct?

Define correct data ;) No matter what data I put into the static routes window I get no save and reboot option. Other windows seem to work fine though. If I enter the exact same data in the fields using the Win2k server it works no problem. This happened in the old apConfig and the latest 1.5.

It looks to me like there may be something missing or needs updating on some installs of WinXP which results in this situation. I'll update my WinXP laptop with all the latest stuff and see if it helps.

Let us know about the Windows upgrade. What power supply voltage are you running?

Hello.

I was trying to set the default gateway on another computer running WinXP too. Everything works fine exactly as lonnie wrote. Only difference between both systems was that on working system was installed Service Pack 2.

Another strange thing I found on system where I was unable to set default gateway, is that if I set transmit rates on two associated Atheros cards (one link consisting of 2 Dual WARs) to speed 54 or 48 Mbps at both sides, the link is unable to work again (client side can't find AP), until I change speed at least at one side to another value. However on working system everything goes fine.

WARs are running at 18 voltage power supply.
