Hi,

had a problem with a fixed ethernet card (compaq 10/100) whereby it would only interwork with one of its own kind at 10mbps.

I had to change the upstream card for one of the same and it autobauded to
100mbps FD - which sadly , wont work.

I ended up buffering (temporarilly) with another (linux h/w) router using mii-tool
to wind down eth2 to 10mbps FD .

I appreciate its not something we'll need every day - but when you need it , you need it !

regards

BB

Not all Ethernet drivers have tools and therefore it is quite difficult to take a general case. Ethernet is supposed to just work. We do have this in the plans for v3.
