I have noticed that a terciary firmware (8.42) is downloaded to the card when it's in AP mode, right? OK...

When i use Infrastructure mode, the firmware isn't downloaded to the card... So, if the card has a old firmware, this is bad... :-(

It's possible that StarOS download a terciary firmware to the card in Infrastructure mode? So, if i do a upgrade of StarOS, the new firmware will be "upgraded" automatically. :-)

You are in luck, this feature was included some time ago.

Lucent cards that have really old firmware will automatically be upgraded to v7.52.2. This version is not the newest, but is one of the most reliable and contains most of the new features will be making use of in future releases. When we are satisfied with the performance and reliability of the newer firmware releases, we will include those as well.

The Prism 2 and 2.5 cards also have this feature, and can be enabled in the Wireless card configuration panel. (The Agere cards are automatic).

Thanks!
