Does anyone know if there is a mechanism to inject an audible tone into a 5.8 antenna to help aligning antenna's when installing ?

Ok, I'll bite.
I think the immediate answer would be no, although I've only been doing this for 2 1/2 years...
I suspect you are thinking of something that, on one end, produces a tone that is converted to 5.8Ghz, recieved at the other, then down converted to an audible tone with the varied intensity of the sound telling you whether or not your antenna is in alignment...(/grammar nazi off)
Thats a neat idea, however our current method of visual alignment, tweaking within StarOS via signal levels, has worked pretty well with regard to 5.x Ghz links.
Is there a particular issue you are running into that a device like this would provide a solution to, or better yet, solve???

I believe Mikrotik support this.
