There is a nre release with a few cosmetic changes with the main fix being the 5.5 MHz speed setting for Atheros on 802.11b.

Does this release fix the problem I had with v2.01.1 not properly validating the license key and going into demo mode when the ethernet MAC address is "bc:7d:55:dc:a0:8c"?

In this thread http://forums.star-os.com/showthread.php?t=3350, Lonnie wrote "The key sequence got changed along the way when we went ot combined licenses and our software detects that as an invalid MAC address. I had trouble when I originally generated it for, so we will have to patch the MAC checking for the next release."

Thanks.

No reason to update. Just a few non essential fixes.

I have, problem with build 4608, because, I have Atheros card and XI-626 and 4590 system running 131days without problems. But build 4608 on the same PC, on the same cards instalations, brake PC to cold reset!!! I must downgrade StarOS from 4608 to 4590 :-(((

The release notes say nothing about a fix for this problem and I asked because testing the new release is complicated.

The site is a 45 minute drive from the office. To keep from destroying the current production DOM, I will have to load the new release onto another DOM, drive to the site, and swap the new release DOM for the current DOM to make the test.

If this new release does not contain a fix for this problem, then I can spend my time doing other things.

I cannot be sure it was fixed since there did not seem to be anything wrong so we tweaked the license routine. Please advise us when it is more convenient for you to test with.

The release notes say:

*) nat would occasionaly fail of there were two or more default routes of equal cost.

Does this mean there is equal cost multipath routing in Star-Os so I can use two different ISPs?

This would sometimes occure if you have a static default gateway in your routing table, then have a dhcp-assigned default gateway assigned from your provider. In situations such as this, NAT would get confused as to which interface to use, and would cause connectivity issues.

So ECMP is not possible?

Also since you are doing some more version 2 releases any chance of updating the Layer 7 filter rules to the latest version.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, ECMP is not available in v2. We will look into updating the layer-7 filter rules in a future release.

Thanks.
