Some kind of fixed speed test?

A little way to get a fixed ammount of data back and forth to know what the performance really is without anything else getting into the mix.
A STAR OS standard file xfer "as it were" the numbers would really mean something.

Yes, this would be a neat addition. I will look at ttcp which should be a good choice as it would allow testing between StarOS boxes, and standard workstations.

Tony, we will need this test for the all the guys rushing to get in on the long distance contest. We said we would have a test to verify the speed, and I am sure there will be lots of guys needing it to show their long distance speeds. :D
