Is it possible to mix public and private IP's behind a star-os box?

Why am I asking this?

For people who don't want (not allowed) to run servers, I want them connected through NAT, for those willing to pay the $$$ to allow them to run some kind of server, I need to route individual IP's.

Can this be done easily and effectively, on the same network?

Or, should I attempt to do PPPoE? How much overhead is involved, and can it actually be done when the server has a couple of Star OS boxes between it and the client?

Yes, you are able to mix public and private IPs with ease, and is how many ISPs set up their network. Simply set up a NAT rule for the private subnet(s) you wish to allow Ineternet access for.

Thanks!

And don't forget you can keep your entire network private and use 1:1 mapping at your main router to give a public access to a web server or or email, or whatever the guys want to run.

I have to caution this does not seem to work perfectly for some VPN connections, but pretty much everything else works.
