Here is a typical UK installation on a victorian town house dating from 1890. Spot the antenna?

OK, here's a clue. Its below the TV aerial. The antenna is a 15db grid from Pac Wireless with 20' of LMR400 going into a Soekris mounted behind the chimney. The unit runs back into a 13db superpass at the AP, approximately 1.5 miles NOT line of sight. The signal quality still kicks in at 20 and 11/mbs. Neither end are amplified. This baby runs directly back into our data centre at Penzance and speed checks at speedtest.com show - wait for it - 1133kbs download !!!!!!
