Here's our typical Soekris CPE. The flash is a generic 32mb, the Soekris is a 4521. All of our radios are Orinoco golds. The case is a generic weatherproof electrical enclosure with a couple of weatherproof glands to take care of the cables. The pigtail is from Hyperlinktech and the Cat V is external rated.

And here is the finished article, ready for installation. It is shown with a 48vdc power injector from Hyperlinktech. The unit is DHCP enabled and plug and play at the client end.

Oh, and who is the supplier on that plastic box you used? I was never completely happy with the boxes I saw, but that doesn't look like one of them. I like the metal box I am using, but it would be nice to have a lower cost option.

I got them from a local trade electrical distributor - City Electrical Factors in the UK. I just walked in and took a look at their stock and got them to bulk order the best. It is NEMA rated for outdoor use with the cable glands. I just add a dash of silicone sealant to be sure.

The box itself is £4UK - $6 USD and the glands work out at about a buck a piece.

We have had 20 last over the UK winter so far - cold, wet, windy, salty with no failures.

We use them too, got them from Maplin (a tad more expensive)
