This is very important information for me...
In the future, I have read you have plans for polling, bandwidth control, etc.
What kind of processor power will this need?
It's critical that if I buy hardware now, it's sufficient when and if that is implemented.
We are aiming for 802.11a & g, 802.1x and potentially Polling (to name a few). Hardware requirements should be pretty low for all the future features, but planning ahead is a good idea. (54Mbps cards are DMA-based, so should take little CPU power to obtain full throughput, in theory...)
Bandwidth control has been present since our initial release early last year.
Thanks!

Would a higher-end Soekris board be sufficient for a 20 user AP?
You can run > 100 users from a 486-100 16MB RAM using the CPE Edition with no problems. The Soekris should work well for you.
Thanks!

That's even including the future polling and other goodies? if so... awesome :)

This is based off of our current release. I cannot see polling impacting the system that much, though performance and thoughput will be unknown for a while yet.
Thanks!
