I've found these hardware :

http://www.abicom.net/Datasheets/FreedomCPE_DRAFT.pdf

What do you think about? It has possibilities as a CPE? Maybe with star-os inside?

Looks good.

It is MIPS based though, and CPE board has 16MB SDRAM (not enough for StarOS, I guess), so only AP board is viable.

Question is how much work (on Tony's side ;)) would be needed to make StarOS work on it...

I talked with them and the dual radio unit will be $400. Is there any interest in that price range running Atheros dual radios?

It would take a considerable amount of Tony's time and I am not willing to commit to something like this unless there are enough people who will want it.

It seems like a lot of money and I think the demand will be low, but I could be wrong. Let me know what you guys think.

The radios are built into the board, right?
I don't think it is worth the money, unless the tx is actually stronger than a CM-9... and then in that case I would only want them for long distance shots.

WRAP still seems the best board for price...
OT, but has anyone heard anything good about the AR5006 atheros chips? Nothing is available yet, correct?

$400.00 OUCH!! sure won't see me wanting any at that price, not when I can just add a second radio to a wrap for about 50 bucks.
My 2 cents for what its worth
