View Full Version : siemens 1024
Can anyone tell me if the siemens 1024 Wireless pci adapter is just a pci carrier for a mini-pci card? I'm in desparate need of a mini-pci wireless adapter before monday, best buy only has the new wmp-11's Circuit city has these siemens, they are a prism2 card, but I don't know if they are just a mini-pci or not. They look identical to the wmp11. Any other suggestions for a local source for mini-pci cards is welcome also. Thanks.

Hi, I thought I would let everybody see what this card looks like, since nobody is really doing any documentation on a typical setup.
I am building an Access Point as we speak, and I will be taking pictures of it.
I will have a website of it soon, that way you guys can see details of how things should look

Warning!!!! :x :x :x :x
These cards are EXACTLY as LinkSys and the new cards you buy are NOT compatible. They are the the same as the LinkSys WMP11-V27. I would suspect they are OEM'ing the cards.
The way to tell is the BAD cards have the antenna line visible on the front, whereas the GOOD cards you have to turn it over to see the antenna line.
Also the GOOD cards have empty headers for GND, J9, and J7 near the middle left of the card. The picture on the post here is proper for a GOOD card.

They are using the 27
I am editing the 27 Driver INF file, and they are refering to the 27 through the whole inf file.
I am going to disasemmble to 27 driver to see if I can get anything out of it.
