Hey how about some "small" beginners layouts, like where you would want to use hotspot's, routing examples, ect.. I couldn't route at all 1 year ago.. now it seems easy just as I found out there are things like RIP and OSPF that make this a thing of the past? I think It would help the new users to know up front that bridging is bad, and some not complex setups,because like someone said a picture is worth a 1000 words.

My current config is
Public IP (NIC1)
Nat/static dhcp/cbq/Firewall
172.16.0.1 (WLAN1)

ISP----StarOS/AP----Clients
-------backhaul/StarOS/AP------Clients (4 repeaters Like this)

(repeater)
172.16.0.(2-50) (WLAN1)(Backhaul)
static dhcp server
172.16.(2-50).1 (WLAN2)(ap)

Clear as a bell huh :lol:

I would like to move into a central "server" that can handle cbq/ip's/radius so I could make the "repeaters"as dumb as possible for easy setup and less overhead where I am slowly going to use wrap boards... Is there any (drum roll) easy to use network design programs besides (Viseo?) to draw out my ideas to post on here..

Thanks !!
