I need to set up a ap for a hotspot and don't know what card to get. I want to use a 200 mw to get the greatest distance but dont know which is the best card for the buck!
Thanks,
Pirate
I would recommend the Senao 200mW miniPCI cards, which have proven to work quite well.

I agree, the Senao has done very well for me. Some people say the Zcomax cards are better, but in my testing they were louder (230mw vs the 170mw of the senao) but the senao's were much more sensitive.
The zcomax cards I have are all intermittant now, and I thought I once had a bad senao card, and it turned out to be a water problem in the antenna.
Other people have reported the senao's are intermittant, and the zcomax cards had more range for them.
So while I like the Senao's, I can't say for sure that my experience with them is the same as what your experience will be.

Not cheap, but the pretty much the best receive sensitivity I have seen:

Testing at the moment.
