Changes between v1.13.4b1 and v1.13.4b2:
Update: hotspotzz support can be used without problems once again.
Update: you can now enable transparent proxy redirection while using hotspot and hotspotzz service.

To enable Atheros support, you can purchase an Atheros-enabled key from your reseller, or online via www.license-keys.com. All Server keys include the Atheros license. Do not generate a key that is locked to an Atheros card, as the key itself determines if the Atheros support is activated.

Atheros cards tested: D-Link DWL-AB520, DWL-AG520, DWL-G520, Proxim 8482-WD and more
To date, all Atheros-based cards tested by users have been supported in the later releases. Please let us know if your specific card is note being detected, or does not operate correctly.

Any and all comments are welcome.

ISO images for the Server Editions are not available in this release. For those who have to install via ISO, please install the Router Edition, then upgrade to the Server Edition .bin.

P2 533mhz Intel 256mb locks up on boot at "applying CBQ,
firewall and Nat rules".

Routerboard PCI to mini pci adapter, have also tried D-link adapter card with same results.

Tested with 1.13.3B9 on up with same results.

Have checked IRQ's and disabled all unneccesary comm's etc. in the bios.

Tried various PCI slots and removing 11.b cards and adapters with same
result.

On the brighter side, 1.13.4b1 has fixed some serious stability issues with the VIA 733 boards when an atheros card is installed.

Quess I'll be hopping on the ferry in the morning to pick up a dwl-ag520 which have worked flawlessly.

Keep up the great work.

On another note we just got our 10.2 mile A link going and despite 65' of lmr 400' (waiting for lmr 900) at one end are pulling 18 mbps with a link quality of 10.

ack is 755 at both ends with pacwireless 29 dbi dishes.

Has anyone else had much success with the Engenius a/b/g cards?

Dave Vrablic just setup a system with DWL-AG520 and pacWireless 29 dB solids. He has qualities of 25 to 28 and is Rock Solid at 12 miles.

His system is very poor on the the 5.7 with the 5.825 being the only one that links - at excellent strength, others are marginal or no link. The 5.2 to 5.3 are also solid and almost as much signal as the 5.825. I don't know if this is the card or antenna. Our Senao 5354 show pretty much the same signal on all channels.

Cool I will take a look at the ACK etc.

I think I may have found a memory leak in the latest beta's. If you set a DWL ag520 to station mode and it doesn't associate and keeps scanning channels, it will eventually lock up the machine using router edition. I haven't tested server. This is present in b4.1 and b4.2 but doen't occur with 1.13.3 release.

Dave just sent the following:

I found the TV station has a couple of Tsunami radios set up full duplex.
They are on freqs 5803 and 5741.
Model 31145-41A20

This would explain why the 5.7xx channels were poor and the 5.805 was unusable. So it looks like the cards and the antennas rock and roll. I'd say that is pretty good in the presence of a Tsunami since they kill everything near them.

For what it's worth...
Loaded a DOM with 1.13.4b1-4024

I tried a test with 2 utility MOBO's with all cards pulled except Realtek NIC.
OS stopped and locked up when loading LINUX.

MOBO's were ASUS SIS 630E
and ASUS SIS 530E

As usual I disabled all On Board IO functions.
-------------------------------
These boards both worked with 1.12.1..
I just upgraded the FW on my way to loading it with an ATHROS key.

This was just an observation report.
I don't need them , as they are just a test bed for testing cards and such.

Where exactly does it hang while loading? What was the last things shown on the screen. How much RAM do you have in your system?

The utility boards both hung right where it displays "Booting the kernal"
------------------------------------------

The POP box C3 733 got stuck "After an upgrade reboot" and Please wait was displayed in a box in the middle of the screen.

All my boxes have at least 64 meg of ram.

I am going over to get the pop box I will plug in and see where it is when I get there.
I'll try another reboot and let you know what happens.

OK guys, this turned out to be "Much ado about nothing".
Looks like a bad coin battery.
The BIOS was corrupted.
The date was correct but the time was all zeros.
Some of the IO ports were disabled and some were not.
That isn't the way it was installed.

Lets chalk this "stuck on bootup computer after upgrade" to hardware failure.
Sorry for ctying wolf!

Glad you got it figured out. :)

As Gomer Pyle used to say "Thank you, thank you, thank you". After editing about 3000 lines of code by hand, your hotspot upload/download feature in this version has saved my poor, tired old fingers a bunch of work. Good job.
Thanks again to Tony & Lonnie :D

I have a server hilltop with 1 ag520 in client mode, and 3 senao prism 2.5 cards in AP mode using the lucent pcmcia to pci adapter cards. I then have a Trangolink10 plugged into the ethernet.
MB is a Asus TUSL2-C (6 slots plus 1 AGP)
I have a video card in the AGP, ether in slot 4, senaos in slot 1-3, and AG520 in slot 6.

The problem is that when we activate changes, the cpu locks up.
There is still signal coming out of the tower, but all tcp/ip stops and it has to be power cycled.
It doesn't happen all the time, maybe 20% of the time.
Any ideas? I think it was doing this with the previous release, but not before we started using atheros.
Let me know if you want a IP to log in.

The Lucent PCMCIA cards are known to be trouble with IRQ issues. Most people cannot even get them to work. I would suggest an Elan P111 if you can find them.
