How do I do a site survey?
The Access5800 system features a handy site survey tool which scans across all channels for a specified period of time and indicates the signal strength of any interference that might be present. A site survey can be conducted with either an Access Point or a Subscriber Unit. The AP or SU must be in OFF mode. Using the browser interface, click on the Site Survey link, enter the desired time frame for the survey, and click on the Start Survey button. Alternatively, this survey can be conducted using the command line interface using the command Survey XX P, whereby XX indicates the time for survey (in seconds) and P indicates the desired polarization (H or V).
