Changes between v1.13.3 and v1.13.4b1:

Hotspotzz support will be available again in 1.13.4b2

Update: starutil update to support uploading and downloading hotspot pages.
Update: starutil now shows the software version number under system information.
Update: core hotspot update to better handle pppoe w/ hotspot splash pages.
Update: Atheros clients now reassociate to APs much quicker. Previously it could take several minutes for the client to detect an AP outage and reassociate.
Update: serial console now has the ability to reset the password, and default IP of ether1.
Fixed: resetting to factory defaults under the serial console now works as expected.

To enable Atheros support, you can purchase an Atheros-enabled key from your reseller, or online via www.license-keys.com. All Server keys include the Atheros license. Do not generate a key that is locked to an Atheros card, as the key itself determines if the Atheros support is activated.

Atheros cards tested: D-Link DWL-AB520, DWL-AG520, DWL-G520, Proxim 8482-WD and more
To date, all Atheros-based cards tested by users have been supported in the later releases. Please let us know if your specific card is note being detected, or does not operate correctly.

OEM releases for this version are available.

Any and all comments are welcome.

ISO images for the Server Editions are not available in this release. For those who have to install via ISO, please install the Router Edition, then upgrade to the Server Edition .bin.

I just tried to test the beta on a router from 1.13.3 to the latest.

The file strr-1.13.4b1-4020.bin is only 272 kb
When I tried to upgrade I got the following message.

Verifying uploaded firmware file:
Invalid or incomplete firmware image, please upload it again.
Press any key to continue:

Is it something I am doing wrong?

Thank you for pointing this out. The upload was incomplete, but should be Ok now. Give it a shot again.

Thanks!

Hi Friends,

I would like to ask Tony whether this beta relase has an updated ISC DHCP Relay agent that does not suffer from the serious bug I've found in the older StarOS releases (for details see StarOS forum and topic "ISC DHCP Relay Agent DoS on the DHCP server". Tony answered that it would be fixed in 1.13.4b1 release. However, this is not mentioned anywehere on this 1.13.4b1 anouncement page (maybe I've looked over?).

Thanks!
