Hi,
Just wondering if I'm supposed to be able to see the signal strength of an atheros link in starutil or not, as it's giving me some pretty strange signal values. This is what i see; Signal quality: 0 Signal level: 3726 Noise level: 0. The 3726 changes like as if its some kind of signal level. So is this a bug, or is it just not supported yet?

Thank you for pointing this out. The signal level is correct, however it's not normalized into dBm yet. We'll get this fixed in the next release. The AP association signal levels should be correct however.

Thanks!

Thanks for the info tony.
BTW, the staros-mikrotik link that I was trying back in November is now working fine. It's great to once again be able to avoid having to use a seperate AP (had to run MT on the pc and use an ap1000 till now). The only issue I encountered was that the dynamic ack timing on mt wouldnt set a value when the staros client tried to associate, so it just involved manually setting the ack at the MT end, and then it started working fine. 8KM link btw.

Seems to have improved in the latest version, but still not quite there? ;)

Signal quality: 0 Signal level: -11dBm Signal noise: -102dBm

Yes, it's not quite right yet, but will be correct in the next beta.

Thanks!
