Hi!

Any chance of getting the Atheros Mini-PCI boards directly from VNC?

If so, what will be the timeframe for this to happen, and any idea about the target price for the boards??

Best Regards

Oleb

We face the same problems that others do. Senao with Atheros are hard to get.

We typically do sell components that we have tested and are good enough to use for our own stuff. That is how the ATX-733 came about, as well as the PCMCIA adapters and Orinoco cards.

People do try and save a buck though, and that is why eBay is such a big company now.

Hi!

It would be nice if you could check out the target price from Senao for both te B/G boards and the A/B/G boards so the users know what to expect as the cost for the cards.

Shopping around all time to get hold of the boards, can get rather frustrating now and then, so it would make the life a lot easyer with a known place to get the parts needed! :-)

I'd like to second this, outside the US (& Canada) it can be extremely difficult to find suppliers for these cards. I have never even seen a mini PCI card let alone been able to buy one.

So if anyone can help me get hold of something I can use (802.11a & b) with my WRAP boards I'd be very grateful

I'll see about putting some mini PCI gear on the website. We have an adequate stock of the Senao N_2511 MP Plus which is a prism2.5 card that does 200 mW. We also have the NL-5354 MP Plus. I have pigtails from the UF.L to N Female bulkhead.

Now if I just had some WRAP boards. :(

hello,

lonnie, I second that idea. There are huge problems outside of USA... No AG520 available :)

PS : why do you stick to Senao cards? Mini-PCI format?

and when you do find someone that has some AG520's there's no gaurentee that they have the country code for use in your country. Now if only I could find a source for the world cards :) or a way to change the country codes - I'm not interested in changing codes in order to run freq's that I shouldn't as that would invalidate my license

AG520's are available outside the US, just sometimes hard to find. In Ireland for example try www.microaid.ie. Searching on the web, I also found almost a dozen sources for them in the UK.

We have stuck with Senao mini PCI cards because they are readily available and we have found them to be very good cards. I buy in large volume so my price is right. If I bought half as many of them and another brand I would not get good pricing on either card.

So I am not be in a rush to use anything else until it is shown that the other one is clearly superior.

The website did not get the planned update. Maybe I'll find time over the weekend.
