Lonnie/all:

Will U.FL to N female pigtails for the MiniPCI Atheros cards be available through Valemount? If so, in lengths *under* 19"?

All of the common pigtails I'm finding of this variety are the 19" variety, which has waaay too much cable loss at nearly 6GHz to suit me.

Yes, I know I'm being fussy, but the more signal delivered to or from the antenna, the better, and that's what counts in my book. More system margin = higher reliability.

Just wondered. If anyone knows where to find U.FL to N Female pigtails in the 6" (a little short, but workable) to 9" (preferred) to 12" range, please feel free to speak up. I know I can get them in RP-TNC, but I'm not looking to add any adapters or different connectors to the mix here.

Thanks, and anxiously awaiting the WRAP boards...

I noticed about a 3db jump in signal from the 19" u.fl pigtail, to a soldered 10" rg-172(4?) pigtail. This was on the bench, so the antenna could of shifted to provide the increased signal as well. I have them firmly mounted now, I'll test it again later.

netgate has a 6" hirose pigtail. It has a RP TNC on it, but the male cable fitting for those are easy to get and use, so there is no reason not to use them... They also have 19" ones...

To me the 6" is sometimes too short, and the 19 is always too long.
