V1.8a Has most of the starutil features available. (No Hotspot kick). Nice features on the wireless info (Clients, signals etc...) + a few bug fixes.

PM me if you are interested in trying it out.

Is there a timer switch you can add in when you run command line-- starutil [ip] [password] -rx >>[filename]. The problem is that it run's till you ^c
it . I want to add it to a batch file or a script and i want it to run for a set time and stop and then output that to a file.

That's in starutil. You'll have to ask Tony for that one.

Quick workaround if you're on *nix, just dump the PID from starutil to a file when you start it and use the PID to kill the process whenever you want.

Sorry, current version is broke at the moment. I'm in the middle of adding Atheros support (finally have a box to test with!) and a few more of the 1.10 options. I am going to wait for starutil 1.11 so I can add whatever new gadgets Tony adds to it and hopefully it will be a while before 1.12

Also like to add that FEEDBACK from those of you who have a Beta would really be appreciated....

The next starutil (v1.11) for windows should be released in the next day or two.

Feel free to email me a BETA when you have the Atheros portions worked out, as I can help in testing.

Based on the announcement by HEC:

http://forums.star-os.com/viewtopic.php?t=2941

I can't see spending too much time and effort on UtiliStar. It sounds like they are building the program I wished I had the time and talent to build. I can't wait to see the first release.

I'll wrap up what I started and post a final 1.11 release sometime soon.

UtiliStar has been a wonderful utility and I'd be sorry to see it go... however, it already does almost everything I would like it to do for quick and dirty maintenance. I just wanted to compliment you on a great program and thank you again for all the hard work.

Steve, I was scared this would happen. Any chance you would be able to work with HEC? I am sure the two of you, working with us, would build a very nice frontend - the type of front end that would really serve a lot of people. I can try and get this together if you are willing.

I would hate to lose your input.

I'm sorry, the last time I was working on adding a couple of options I temporarily broke it. Hopefully I'll catch a break soon and get it wrapped up.

Although, I am really curious (hint, hint) to see what V3 is going to be bringing...............

I am not so sure this will ever happen.
The link to the "beta release" only shows Apache's welcome screen and no change for many weeks now. :?
But 2 pieces of commercial software for sale there...

Please continue development for Utilistar 1.8 !!!
