The Proxim (Orinoco) 802.11B GOLD card will not show up but my old Orinoco Silver works...is the Proxim 8420-WD Gold card not supported?
The Proxim 8420-WD is not based on the Hermes, Ruby or Atheros chipsets, therefor are not supported. We do support the Proxim ORiNOCO Gold Classic cards, as well as their Atheros-based PCI cards.
Thanks!

Michael, ship me a couple of the cards and we will see about adding them. Pop them on Greyhound and we'll get moving.

We have some Gold cards that are working in Star-OS.
They are labeled as a Gold card. In V 1.13.2 r3790 they detect as a Ruby chipset and seem to work fine. They insert and configure fine and I have a connection to them in AP mode.
Has something changed or is there something we're missing?
Label on the back is as follows:
T/N 33H21450
P/N 024205/B

It seems something has changed. We are not interested in buying any more cards since we are now an Atheros house. No need to look keep looking.
That means we are clearing out our stock of Orinoco cards. To do this as quickly as possible we are running a 10 pack special. $950 for 10 orinoco ruby, 10 single slot PCMCIA and 10 Router licenses.
I bet this will hurt if you miss it.
