Changes between v1.13.3b2 and v1.13.3b3:
Fixed: Atheros 802.11a stations can now properly associate to APs using channels 40, 48, 56, 153 and 161. Previously they would associate then immediately rescan for a new AP.

To enable Atheros support, you can purchase an Atheros-enabled key from your reseller, or online via www.license-keys.com. All Server keys include the Atheros license. Do not generate a key that is locked to an Atheros card, as the key itself determines if the Atheros support is activated.

Atheros cards tested: D-Link DWL-AB520, DWL-AG520, DWL-G520, Proxim 8482-WD
Cards reported to work: WG311 (802.11G)

Any and all comments are welcome.

Hi!

Beta 3833 version

My TabletPC with the AVAYA board is now able to associate on all channels
with the Star-OS in 802.11b and 802.11g mode. The rate shown in the ap for the assoociated client is however 1 and the tablet can only get about 260Kbps from the other side of the wrap board.

Downloading files from a web server conneted to the ethernet of the wrap board.

The results are the same at all channels?

Sample of signal and lq values.

The Star-Os reports Qual 82/87 signal -13 / -62 noise -102 / -102 and rate 1

The site monitor on the tablet pc reports
SNR 84 signal -10 noise -94

Where du we start to debug this behaviour??

Best Regards
Oleb

Try setting a rate on the Atheros card (as opposed to leaving it at auto) and see if that helps.

The rates normally start at the lowest rate and increase as you pass traffic.

Thanks!

It would seem as though you are right. It sure likes that 1Mbps rate doesn't it? It would seem that setting the rate to auto will give you your 11Mbps. We'll get the fixed problem with 802.11b cards resolved for the next release.

Thanks!
