Changes between v1.13.2 and v1.13.3b1:
New: Ability to extract System Information, Kernel log and logged in ppp users added to starutil server. New starutil client will be released soon.
Update: Atheros enhancements include the ability to adjust ACK timing, txpower and Country code.
Fixed: Atheros WORLD cards such as the Proxim 8482-WD are now supported.
Fixed: 802.11b cards are able to associate to an Atheros AP on all available channels. Was previously limited to channel 1 only.
Fixed: Secondary firmware for Prism 2.5 cards has been brought back to version 1.7.4 due to Senao cards having problems with v1.8.2
Fixed: DHCP client no longer loses it's lease when a system first boots up, or the system changes are activated.

To enable Atheros support, you can purchase an Atheros-enabled key from your reseller, or online via www.license-keys.com. All Server keys include the Atheros license. Do not generate a key that is locked to an Atheros card, as the key itself determines if the Atheros support is activated.

Atheros cards tested: D-Link DWL-AB520, DWL-AG520, DWL-G520, Proxim 8482-WD
Cards reported to work: WG311 (802.11G)

Any and all comments are welcome.

Hi Tony,
Was the prism 2.5 1.8.2 firmware for AP or client? I never saw it mentioned in the sticky post you created; but I was only using 1.13.2 in AP mode with senao cards so I assume it effected them in infrastructure only.

Just upgraded my wrap board from version strrw-1.13.2b5-3677 to the new version.

Upgrade is succesfull, then rebooted, but the system freezes at the network part (before bridging, this is the next step i believe).

Fresh install works fine directlty to the new version. As soon as i change anything on the wirelesscard settings and activate changes, everything freezes again.

The only versions that worked fine till now is up to strrw-1.13.2b5-3677
Everything newr failed.

Back to the old version again. when is this going to work :-(
Using 2 senao minipci 200mw cards. wrapboard is version 1b.

Bjorn.

Can you try upgrading the firmware on your two cards? You can use the v1.7.4 firmware on our website.

Thanks!

How can i upgrade mini-pci cards? is there something that allows me to do this from the wrapboard?

Thanks
Bjorn.

I'm not sure if you can do it from the WRAP board, however if you can get your hands on a miniPCI->PCI holder, you can use it in a standard PC. You can use the holders from the DWL-520 or DWL-G520 if you have one handy.

What firmware versions do your cards have? Can you send me a snippet from the system log while they are detected?

Thanks!

This was client only. The AP uses firmware v2.0.4 which works quite well on the range of cards.

Thanks. The next time you upgrade again, can you disable the auto firmware upgrade option under the card configuration manager, and let me know if that helps?

I understand. The next time you do upgrade however, can you first disable the auto firmware upgrade option under the card configuration dialog? I would like to know if this is part of the problem you are experiencing.
