help needed to get hotspot working.

Hi,
I'm just starting to try and get a hotspot working.
My set up is:
star OS server.
ether1 = 192.168.0.101
wlan1 = 192.168.10.254
default gw = 192.168.0.254 ie on ether1

I have nat setup and can browse the internet fine from a machine connected through wlan1

I've setup the radius server with a test user.
I've enable hotspots.
But, when ever I enable wlan1 to be used with the hotspot everything stops.
I can't even ping the wlan1 interface.

I'm obviously missing something here. Can anyone shed some light for me ??

Once you start the hotspot service, and enable hotspot support under wlan1, your associated clients will be unable to ping, or do anything until they are authenticated. At this point, they should be presented with a hotspot login page when they open their browser.

Hi,
My problem was that I was attempting to surf to the wlan1 interface to get a login page.
Surf to a real site, and the login page came up. Logged in and was redirected to the site.
