Is is possible to use each of the two antenna connectors in the mini-pci cards for a different run of coax/antenna (on the same channel of course)? I have a vocational/technical school to install wireless coverage into and the shop areas are small, but are surrounded by fire walls. We did some testing tonight with 802.11b gear and the signal strengths from the hallways to the shops was miserable. Each shop would not have very much bandwidth used, but I though we might conserve channels if we could place an antenna in adjoining shops off of the same radio card.
Thanks.

With two antennas it scans them both and compares. It is not meant to point in two directions.

OK - Thought I would ask. Thanks for replying.

You can use a splitter. But then you end up with cable, connector, and splitter loss. Then you have to have an amp.
You could put multiple radio cards in the same box at a central location and run coax to an antenna at each shop. Again, cable size and loss must be considered. But, you have only one box to manage.
If you want to cut costs, the Blitz PCI card at WalMart does work as a prisim 2.5 ($38).
