client: win_no_router vs. router

I'm ready for all of the pros & cons of exposing a Windows machine directly to the network at the client's premise.

Pros
It's cheap
It's quick
It works

Cons
Virus attack
Hard to troubleshoot customer's connection/equipment
(Is it the customer or "my" card?)


Router
more money
I can connect to router and test network.
"Your connection is working, would you like for us to come out at $60/hr to see what is wrong with YOUR stuff?"
Unwanted protocol traffic kept off the network.


If you have windows installs that work let me know.

One of your cons are eliminated if you can use nat, and your users cannot route to each other.
