I have some PCMCIA/PCI adapters with a Ricoh chip(R5C475II). During boot the OS does not find the adapter. I thought the OS supported the Ricoh chip set. Any help would be appreciated.

We support the chipset, however the brand of PCI adapter you are using may not be fully supported by your hardware. What are your system specs? (chipsets, brands, mfg dates, etc.)

Thanks!

This points out that not all boards are created equal. I hope you did not buy a bunch of them.

Have you tested under Windows? What if the board is simply dead?

I just got bit by the same board.
I bought a couple of Generic RICOH chipset boards from FAB CORP.
The picture looked like what I have been using even had a regulator.
Turns out they are BUFFALO WLI-PCI-CA boards.
The chip is a RICOH R54C475II .
They are not recognized by version 1.12.3

I am using the 733 -C3 board you sell Lonnie.

Fool that I am, I thought RICOH was RICOH.

LET THIS BE A WARNING !

pcmcia sockets are indeed interesting in that they differ quite a bit from vendor to vendor, even if they use common chipsets.

You may wish to try one of our later releases to see if it is recognized.

Thanks!

What motherboard?
What Version?

They work now with the 733 / C3 version 1.13.1
We fired up this combination on one of our Master BackHauls.
We are having a intermittiant large packet loss and the speed is jumping around.
Haven't a clue if it is related.

I will post a request for help in another section.
