Hi!

Does it exist some sort of documentation on the new features in 1.12.6 for eeZee and DHCP auto-auth?

How is it itended to be configured?

In the setup of the autho-auth you can specify an address range ?
Is this address range supposed to be the same range as in the DHCP server setup or is it meant to be a different range.

Would the auto-auth also supply other info from the built-in DHCP server.

Where do you setup the RADIUS parameters for the auto-auth function, does it pick up the radius parameters from the hotspot setup?

What are the intended use for the address range in the eeZee setup, will it
be a pool used for static nat'in of the clients addresse to addresses in this pool?

The auto-auth feature is a specialized DHCP server, and is stand-alone and requires your primary DHCP server to be inactive, or not listening on the given interface. The range is the range of IPs to issue clients. IPs that are retrieved through radius will be used if available, and should not be in the range of the dynamic pool.

The eeZee client configuration contains an IP pool that it uses for IP remapping. If you are using eeZee in conjunction with a DHCP server (whether it be the auto-auth, or the primary DHCP server), make sure its range of IPs are separate from those issued via DHCP.

Thanks!

Hi!

Does the new auto-auth DHCP also support handing out the additional
DHCP options? vopi-server etc.

The ideal cenario would be to put all the radio and ethernet clients MAC's into an radius database, and add voip-server options and also cbq options to all of the user entries. Then have this act as an DHCP server on the different "legs" of the firewall.

Also should the hotspot feature be enabled or disabled for the auto-auth operation.

The new auto-auth server is designed to operate with the Hotspot subsystem (if Radius is enabled), however I will look into adding support for the #176 option for voip systems.

If you have Hotspot disabled, you will still be able to use the auto-auth radius ability to issue static IPs, however the Hotspot feature will need to be enabled for automatic CBQ assignments.
