Is there any plans to use this capability?

http://www.bandwidtharbitrator.com :D

I got the CD for $70 (pre-release promotion price).

System works GREAT. Stop or Throttle down those P2P programs (or any other type of program) when you want. Really helped to conserve bandwidth during heavy loads.

Thanks

We have not looked at this product, so am not too sure about it's abilities. It sounds like it support Layer7 (application) shaping. We are actually looking into implementing something similar for our CBQ implementation, though no release dates yet.

Thanks!

You say it works great... How long have you been using it? How much traffic are you passing through it? What kind of hardware are you using?

In use for a couple days.

Using pentium celeron 1.7ghz, 512 ram, two Realtek 8139d cards.

Using it on a 2mb fiber connection.

Booting system from CD.

Using it currently to limit P2P with time-of-day restrictions. 6-9am and 5-10pm.

Will expand uses to other capabilities soon. Have to read all the forum material.
