The Complete FreeBSD, Fourth Edition
Paperback: 714 pages ; Dimensions (in inches): 1.33 x 9.18 x 7.00
Publisher: O'Reilly & Associates; 4th edition (May 2003)
ISBN: 0596005164

This book will aid in choosing and configuring your hardware and your software. Although it is very specific to FreeBSD I would recommend it to ANYBODY who runs a computer that uses an Operating System.

If you can only have one book in your library - this is the one to choose.

Hi,
Excelent news for those who can not buy this book.

Since I always had problems in acquiring books from abroad, specialy untranslated ones, I tried to find if someone scaned it, and posted it for download. I was plesantly suprised with this announcement:

Ten years ago today, on 24 February 1996, I submitted for publication the final version of the first ever book on FreeBSD, "Installing and Using FreeBSD". It was later renamed to "The Complete FreeBSD". I have always retained full rights to the book, and for today I've decided to release it for download under the Creative Commons license. See more at http://www.lemis.com/grog/Documentation/CFBSD/. Greg

from Greg Lehey's site:
Still, I think that “The Complete FreeBSD” is a unique book, and it's probably worth maintaining. But I can't do it myself. So: I'm making the sources available under the “Creative Commons” license (the book itself has been under this license since the O'Reilly edition).
